Tomato Takeover: The Sauce is Coming hits June 4th during CMA Fest 2026 —bringing a bold mix of country music and female power to the stage

Some of Nashville’s favorite female country artists, hit songs and stories about the careers that helped shape country music! Tomato Takeover to take place at 3rd and Lindsley during CMA Fest 2026.

​"Tomato-gate" refers to a 2015 incident where a radio consultant, Keith Hill, compared female country artists to tomatoes in a salad, suggesting they should be taken out to boost ratings. This comment sparked widespread backlash from women in the country music industry, including Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, and Jennifer Nettles, who used the tomato as a symbol of protest.
