The 8th annual Darius Rucker and Friends was held on Monday , June 5, 2017 to raise money for St. Jude’s Research Hospital. After several years at the Wildhorse Saloon, the 2017 edition moved to the historic Ryman Auditorium. The event included performances by Dan + Shay, Luke Combs, Michael Ray and John Oates as well as Darius himself. But, the big surprise of the evening was a performance by none other than Brooks & Dunn. It brought the sold-out crowd to the feet and had the rafters of the iconic Ryman rocking. As always, the show concludes with the artists joining Darius on stage for "Wagon Wheel".
The show along with an auction and golf tournament raised over $400,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This, along with the previous seven years, has sent over $1.2 million to St. Jude's.
