Paul Overstreet Paul Overstreet is a two time Grammy Award winning, country music singer-songwriter. He is in the NSAI Songwriter's Hall of Fame, and received multiple ACM, CMA, and Dove Awards. He was BMI Songwriter of the Year for 5 years in a row. Veterans Era Artist: The Stanley Brothers The Stanley Brothers, comprising Carter (1925–1966) and Ralph (1927–2016), were a foundational American bluegrass duo from southwestern Virginia. Performing as The Stanley Brothers and the Clinch Mountain Boys from 1946 until Carter’s death in 1966, they are credited with giving bluegrass its "soul" through their high, lonesome vocal harmonies and traditional Appalachian "mountain" style. Modern Era Artist: Tim MCGraw Born Samuel Timothy McGraw on May 1, 1967. He has released 17 studio albums. 10 of those albums have reached number one on the Top Country Albums charts, with his 1994 breakthrough album Not a Moment Too Soon being the top country album of 1994. In total, McGraw's albums have produced 65 singles, 25 of which have reached number one on the Hot Country Songs or Country Airplay charts. |
