June 6 - June 7, 2025 (Georgina, Alabama) The festival is held on the grounds of Hank's Boyhood Home and Museum in Georgiana, Alabama. In addition to great entertainment, the festival includes Arts & Crafts, as well as a Food Court. The Hank Williams Festival The 40th Annual "Salute to A Legend" was held May 31-June 1, 2019. Hiram "Hank" Williams was born September 17, 1923, in Mount Olive, Alabama. On the early morning hours on New Year's Day 1953, while traveling through West Virginia on the way to a show in Canton, Ohio, Hank Williams died in his sleep in the back seat of his Cadillac limousine at the age of 29. He was one of country’s first superstars and this festival honors his life and music.
