2014 Darius Rucker & Friends - Wildhorse Saloon
Every year Darius Rucker gets together with a few of his friends at the Wildhorse Saloon to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
This is a great way to kick off the week. This popular event generally sells out in hours. Hosted by Storme Warren of Sirius XM The Highway, Darius welcomed friends Cassadee Pope, Clint Black, Corey Smith, David Nail, Eli Young Band and Kenny Rogers. Charles Kelly of Lady Antebellum made a surprise appearance and blew everyone away. |

Darius Rucker is the host for this amazing event. He brings in a bunch of his country music friends to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Research Center in Memphis, TN. In addition to the great concert, there is also both a live and a silent auction for sports and music memorabilia. There is also a golf tournament that brings in even more money.
Darius Rucker first attained multi-platinum status as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish, Since re-introducing himself to the world as a country artist, his musical life has had a truly remarkable Second Act. In 2008, he released Learn to Live; the album's first single, "Don't Think I Don't Think About It," made him the first African-American with a Number One country song since Charley Pride in 1983. It was followed by two more singles that topped the chart—"It Won't Be Like This For Long" and "Alright"—and earned him the New Artist award from the Country Music Association. His 2010 follow-up, Charleston, SC 1966, included two more Number Ones, while True Believers contained another four hit singles.

Charles Kelley
Charles Kelley is best known as 1/3 of the very talented group Lady Antebellum. Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood founded the country music group in 2006 and released their debut album in April 2008. The trio either wrote or co-wrote ten of the eleven songs on the album. The album included the trio's debut hit, "Love Don't Live Here", along with the singles, "Looking for a Good Time" and "I Run to You" which became their first number one hit.
He is also the younger brother of pop singer Josh Kelley.

Clint Black
Signed to RCA Records Nashville in 1989, Black's debut album "Killin Time" produced five straight number one singles. Black consistently charted hit songs into the 2000s. He has had more than 30 singles on the US Billboard country charts, twenty-two of which have reached number one. He is best known for being part of the class of 1989 which also introduced us to mega-stars Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks as well as other artists like Travis Tritt and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
Corey Smith
Corey Smith majored in Social Studies education at the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. . He taught world geography, world history and guitar at North Gwinnett High School in Gwinnett County Georgia. He wrote songs and play for his friends at parties. Corey’s music became popular amongst his peers and his students before deciding to pursue music full-time at the age of 28. He released his 1st album Undertones in 2003.
David Nail
David Nail had his debut single in 2002 "Memphis" from an unreleased album for Mercury Records Nashville. Five years later, he signed with MCA Nashville, for which he has released three albums: I'm About to Come Alive, The Sound of a Million Dreams, and I'm a Fire. His studio albums have produced seven chart entries including two that have reached No. 1: "Let It Rain” and "Whatever She's Got", plus the top 10 hit "Red Light".
Eli Young Band
Eli Young Band is an American country music band composed of members who met while students at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas: Mike Eli (vocals, guitar), James Young (guitar), Jon Jones (bass guitar), and Chris Thompson (drums).
Mike Eli and James Young met at the University of North Texas where they became dorm roommates their freshman year. They played guitar and eventually began writing and singing songs together; they formed the acoustic duo, Eli & Young, while attending the University of North Texas. Chris Thompson and Jon Jones joined them later on and they became the Eli Young Band
