The 30A Songwriters Festival is produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County and Russell Carter Artist Management. Every year, acclaimed songwriters join a group of more than 175 talented artists from across the country to share intimate moments with friends and fans along Florida's Scenic Highway 30A in South Walton along Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast. The multi-day music festival features over 250 performances in venues ranging from intimate listening rooms to spacious outdoor amphitheaters amid a backdrop of brilliant white sand beaches, turquoise waters and stunning architecture. Unlike other musical festivals where audience members listen to song after song from a full band, the Palm Coast Songwriters Festival provides a unique, more intimate experience between the artist and the listener as the songwriters will often share the meaning behind their lyrics. For the 2020 festival, more than 25 artists will be performing. This 4-day event allows the audience to go ‘behind the curtain’ and see the faces and hear the songs and stories behind some of the most popular songs of yesteryear and playing on the radio today. These artists will be performing their hits for festival attendees. In 2019, Grammy-nominated, platinum selling, billboard hit songwriters from Nashville treated local guests and many attendees from out of town to awesome performances and insights into their music during the second annual Palm Coast Songwriters Festival in May. Panhandle Watermelon Festival

In 1969, the social event would be organized into what is now known as the Panhandle Watermelon Festival, led by former Washington County Extension Agent Red Davis. “We always try to remember that our watermelon festival is part of our history, that it first was a celebration at the end of the year for those who helped in the fields,” said Peel. About 100 people are thought to have been in attendance at the first event in 1956, and more than 5,000 attendees were estimated in 2015. The festival continues to grow every year! Located just north of Live Oak, the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is a one-of-a-kind music park and premier campground nestled on the shady banks of the historic, tea-colored Suwannee River in North Florida. The Spirit of the Suwannee is proud to host a variety of events throughout the year. The Suwannee River Jam tradition includes two stages of performances over four days, thousands and thousands of excited fans holding reunions with family and friends, barbecues, golf cart parades, hiking, jam sessions all over the park around campfires into the early morning hours, canoe trips on the famous Suwannee River at the SOSMP, bicycling, trying out all the festival foods, shopping the vendors and Arts and Crafts Village’s quaint stores and visiting the SOS Café and Restaurant where the walls are hand-painted in rustic Suwannee River scenes. During the Jam, fans come from near and far to hear and see country artists, get their photos taken with their favorite artist during fan club meet and greets while making new friends and jamming to the sounds of America’s best country music artists. The fun is indescribable, the experience can be life-changing and the memories…well, the memories last a lifetime and are re-visited often. Weddings are not uncommon as a result of two people meeting at the Jam and falling in love…and the chapel is always ready over on Rees Lake so the happy couple can tie the knot! Island Hopper Songwriter Fest is the largest songwriter festival in Southwest Florida and offers a unique experience to interact with songwriters who wrote your favorite hits. The festival takes place at venues in Downtown Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach and Captiva Island, and offers over 100 showcases featuring over 90 songwriters. And while it draws thousands of music fans to the mostly free performances, it also provided an opportunity for attendees to discover the other attractions of Fort Myers and all of Lee County, of which Fort Myers is county seat. The annual Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival will feature more than 200 nationally acclaimed songwriters in venues along the Florida / Alabama Gulf Coast from November 4-14, 2021. The festival is an opportunity for seasoned and aspiring songwriters and musicians from all over the world to have their songs heard, and for the public to learn the stories behind the lyrics that only the song’s author can express. During this exciting 11-day festival, performers will be hosted in over two dozen venues from Downtown Pensacola and Perdido Key, Florida, into Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Bon Secour and Silverhill, Alabama. The festival is dedicated to the late Frank Brown, who was night watchman at the Flora~Bama for 28 years, and whose moral values, integrity and strength of character still endure. Mr. Frank, as he was known by all, (was 91 years old when he retired) was featured on Paul Harvey's syndicated radio show, "The Rest of the Story. Southeast Tourism Society has named Frank Brown International Foundation for Music & Songwriters’ Festival one of the STS Top 20 Events in the Southeast for November 2019.
