Northern Missouri's premier country music & camping festival held annually at the Black Silo Winery Mid-America Music Festival presented by CFM Insurance is Northern Missouri's premier Country Music & Camping Festival held on the 70-acre grounds of the Black Silo Winery, located at 4030 E. 10th St. in Trenton, Mo, only 90 miles north of Kansas City and 60 miles south of Iowa. “The Mid-America Music Festival brings together friends and family from all over the Midwest,” said Jenn Hottes, Black Silo Foundation President. “We gather for a weekend to enjoy incredible music and have unforgettable experiences with the company of our favorite people. The Sikeston Rodeo not only has the distinction of being the largest rodeo event in the region, but also has the honor of being one of the top 40 rodeos in the entire nation. The first Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo was held September 17-20, 1953. Today, the Rodeo is the premier Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) event in the region, bringing in almost 40,000 people each year. Multiple Broken Links on web-site: Flagged for Deletion First Launched in 2007, the festival features over 30 artists representing the genres of roots, blues, gospel, country, folk, bluegrass, rock, and soul. The line up includes international, national, regional, and local artists. American Blues Scene Magazine called it “One of the most prominent festivals in the country!” As well as live music, fans enjoy delicious BBQ from local and regional vendors. The festival includes a kick-off event Thursday night, a ½ Marathon and 10K on Saturday morning, and a Gospel Celebration on Sunday. The festival is a fun, true and unique celebration of music, food, and culture.
