Due to the Father of Country Music's influence on all genres of American music and the rich legacy he left behind, the Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival has a unique opportunity to draw a wide regional – and even international – audience. The Atwood Music Festival has been a long-held tradition in Southwest Mississippi for music lovers of all kinds! Starting as a bluegrass festival in 1975 for locals of Monticello, Mississippi to enjoy, it slowly became a huge event that people from all around the state and surrounding states came to enjoy every Memorial Day Weekend. The festival has now evolved to a country music festival that has booked bigtime names, such as, Trace Adkins, Jake Ownes, Chris Young, Craig Morgan, Chris Jansen, Oakridge Boys, Lainey Wilson, and so much more! It's a one-of-a-kind event!The nationally recognized Mississippi Songwriters Festivals is an annual event hosted by the Mississippi Songwriters Alliance in Ocean Springs, Ms. Downtown streets of the Gulf Coast are filled every September with prominent local, regional, and professional Mississippi songwriters of all genres and fans seeking to observe the state’s great talent. The festival stretches from local venues, to late night, rocking-chair “guitar pulls” at the famous Gulf Hills resort. Whether a veteran songwriting enthusiast or newcomer, all are certain to be immersed in Mississippi’s rich songwriting culture at the annual festival.
